October 16, 2010: Georgia Quilt Council Fall Convention, hosted by Gwinnett Quilters Guild, at the Gwinnett Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, GA, featuring a tour of the Georgia Quilt Show at Gwinnett Center. Ambassador Program, October 14, 15, 16, 2010, Georgia Quilt Show The Ambassador Program is open to individuals as well as members of groups such as sewing guilds. Ambassadors earn great personal rewards such as free general admission, special Expo prizes, and free classes. If you sign up as a classroom assistant, you are in a specific room, not specific classes. Every attempt is made to assign you to a class that interests you. Detailed "job" descriptions and a handbook make volunteering fun and easy. Information is sent to you before the expo so you can enjoy the quilt show and assist the attendees.
Groups can earn a free booth: Members can sign up to work at the Expo in half-day shifts. When a group accumulates at least 24 volunteer days (or 48 1/2 days) with six of those days as exhibit hall ticket takers, they are eligible to receive a free booth space at the Expo. With this space you can sign up new members, promote upcoming events, and display your work. To become an Expo Ambassador, you can contact Terri Sheetz at 1.888.400, sign up at the convention, or log on to the Sewing Expo, Georgia Quilt Show.
